In short
When was Shree Prannath Arogya Trust founded?
Shree Prannath Arogya Trust was formed in 1993, and the decision taken at the start was that its hospital would run on a no profit, no loss basis. That single decision is why the general OPD consultation including medicine, and why the trust now runs twelve institutions in Surat.

- Registration E/3384
- Twelve institutions today
- A thirteenth in development at Pinjrat, Olpad
Shree Prannath Arogya Trust was established in 1993 by Swami Shree Tartam Jyotiji Maharaj, with a stated intention: a health care institute that would serve mankind without any discrimination of caste, religion or economic status.
The hospital on Ved Road grew out of that trust. Around it the trust built a school of nursing, athithi bhavans for families travelling in with a patient, a temple, and a number of other community institutions — twelve in all, with a thirteenth in development at Pinjrat, Olpad.
The decision that shaped everything since was that the hospital would run on a no profit, no loss basis. It is the reason the outpatient charge is kept low, the reason the same rate applies to every patient in a category, and the reason dialysis is free for patients eligible under government scheme.
